Pamela Kufahl, Editor

Pamela KufahlPamela has been with the magazine since 2002, moving into the editor's role in December 2004. During that time, she has covered each area of the fitness industry, focusing mostly on the for-profit sector, while also leading the magazine in its transition to a news/business publication. Pamela graduated with a bachelor's in English and a master's in magazine journalism. She has won a Neal Award certificate of merit, two regional American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) writing awards and a Prism Business-sponsored Foundation Award. Prior to joining the magazine, Pamela covered the energy industry for 10 years. She is a sports fan and fitness enthusiast who enjoys working out at the gym, walking, hiking, Pilates and swimming.

Stuart Goldman, Managing Editor

Stuart GoldmanStuart joined the staff in February 2007 and covers for-profit and corporate clubs. He has 10 years of experience in the newspaper business primarily as a sportswriter and sports editor. Most recently, he was the sports editor at The Emporia (KS) Gazette, where he worked for four years. Stuart won numerous awards in the annual Kansas Newspaper Association contest, including best sports feature, sports story and sports column. Stuart also was a sportswriter at The Kansas City Star and has served as a freelancer. In 2000, Stuart published a book about Kansas City's Ban Johnson Amateur Baseball League. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism. When he's not watching or talking about sports, Stuart enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters.

Stephanie Bloyd, Senior Associate Editor

Stephanie BloydStephanie joined the Club Industry's Fitness Business Pro magazine staff in December 2008. She will cover the nonprofit fitness facilities, as well as military and university fitness facilities. Stephanie holds a journalism degree, with an emphasis in magazine, from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS. She has worked in the publishing industry since 1997 on a variety of publications, including Golf Course Management, Food Business News, Mother Earth News and Balloon Magic – The Magazine. She enjoys practicing yoga and taking Zumba classes, as well as reading and cooking, particularly with locally grown and organic ingredients.

Jennifer Ray, Senior Art Director

Jennifer RayJennifer graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in visual communications with an emphasis in advertising. She has been a designer with Prism Business Media for more than nine years, joining Club Industry's Fitness Business Pro magazine in April 2005. Jennifer has won several awards for her designs: two Maggies, five TOCAs, one national ASBPE, six regional ASBPEs and one Ozzie. She has been a guest speaker at design conferences around the United States. Jennifer is an avid sports fan and in her spare time, she enjoys working out, running, playing soccer and tennis. She also is active in the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri.
