Youfit Health Clubs Now Opening New Club in Buford, GA – Its 57th in America

Youfit Health Clubs is about to open its fourth club in the Atlanta area. And more are coming.

Rick Berks, Founder/Owner of Youfit, is making the Atlanta area a priority this year. His first club here, which opened in Norcross in March, and his second one, in Kennesaw, are both experiencing great success. His third club opened in Douglasville just two weeks ago, and is already seeing high registration figures. Now he’s opening a club in Buford, at 3333 Buford Drive – his 57th in America. A new club in Suwanee is opening shortly. And the company’s scouting out additional locations in Georgia.

Rick Berks’ business model is non-traditional. It’s geared to the average person…not the gym rat. There are no long-term contracts (you pay by the month). No intimidating bodybuilders (the clubs aren’t designed for them). No singles scenes. No pressure to join – no salespeople(!). No pushy instructors. And no carbon footprint. In fact, these may be the “greenest” gyms in the country - the floors, for example, are made of recycled tires or Nike “grind” (recycled sneakers!).

“We’re building clubs for people who don’t want to deal with the trauma and drama of the usual health club,” Berks says. “You wouldn’t believe how many people tell me they have to get in shape before they’ll feel comfortable walking into a health club.”

The “Youfit” name is no accident. These are clubs where “you” can “fit” in, without feeling uncomfortable and without feeling pressure from pushy salespeople. And the fees are probably the lowest you’ll ever see for a first-rate fitness club.

“We’re really excited about the Atlanta market,” Rick Berks says, “and about the welcome we’ve received here. We’re getting people in the Atlanta area off the couch. We’re creating new businesses here. And we’re creating them in a way that’s good to the environment.”

Berks is a successful entrepreneur with a colorful story…and he’s targeting Georgia. I’ll follow up in a few days to see if I can answer any questions, or put you in touch with Rick Berks.
