WELLBEATS, the company that pioneered the concept of virtual group fitness, announced the release of a new portable system in 2014, offering the most versatile solution to bring video-based fitness classes to any room or space.

WELLBEATS, formerly Fitness On Request, introduced their first virtual group fitness solution in 2008 which includes a floor-standing touch screen kiosk that participants can approach to choose the video class of their choice to be projected on a life-size 120 inch screen. The company has since created a wall-mounted kiosk as a sleek, space efficient alternative, and this year expanded their product line with the portable solution.

Vice President Jason Campana says that, “Like any of our products or services, the portable kiosk was in response to needs we saw in the market place. It opens doors for us to better serve clients in a number of ways. The ease of installation and deployment has been favorable with clients such as the military, and the portability of the system has changed the way that facilities can integrate fitness classes into their current offerings.”

The portable system comes with an all-in-one wheeled cart with built-in short throw projector, two speakers, and a touch-screen kiosk, as well as a pop-up screen that can easily be stowed or carried. “The portable kiosk is a perfect solution for facilities that desire virtual programs but need flexibility to move between rooms,” says Campana. “It’s a great fit for facilities with multiple studios, corporate settings, and schools.”

As with all of WELLBEATS’ products, the portable kiosk gives customers access to WELLBEATS’ extensive library of proprietary fitness programming developed by Fitness Hall of Fame member Linda Shelton, as well as 3rd party programming from brands such as Zumba®, EXOS™, Jillian Michaels, Silver&Fit®, MOVE ME!™ Kids and others.

“As technology is ever-changing, the ways in which we deliver our group fitness programming will perpetually change as well,” says CEO Ed McConaghay. “It’s our job to keep listening to the needs of our customers and the market place, to deliver our classes in a way that best delivers results for participants of our programming, and in turn, the facilities that serve them.”
