The University of Arizona is home to the best college recreation center in the country, according to one website.

Bestvalueschools.com, which offers information about how to get the most value in a college degree, reviewed campus recreation facilities across the country and released a list of the 20 most impressive college gyms and recreation centers. Recreation centers were evaluated on their LEED rating from the U.S. Green Building Council, the number of design and industry awards won, and the number of square feet per student enrolled. Facilities also were judged based on "wow" factor, amenities that go beyond what is traditionally offered in a fitness center, according to the website.

The University of Arizona's Campus Recreation Center was chosen because of its numerous awards, LEED Platinum certification, sand volleyball courts and bouldering wall.
