David Barton Gym announces that in Fall 2014, they will enter Limelight in Chelsea and convert the iconic space into a 20,000-square-foot workout destination, featuring groundbreaking design, state-of-the-art equipment, a team of body-sculpting trainers and innovative classes. With a nod to David Barton Gym's Sixth Avenue roots where this gritty and glamorous New York brand was launched over twenty years ago, the new location is poised to bring its signature LookBetterNaked fitness flare to the neighborhood. Located on the corner of Sixth Avenue and 20th street, the Limelight's open and spacious halls, grand arches and stained glass will be a divine new home for the gym.

"Limelight is an epic venue with an unrivaled heritage; we are thrilled to introduce an inspired place for our members to work out and thrive," comments David Barton Gym's newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Howard Brodsky. "By relocating our famed Chelsea location from 23rd street to Limelight, one of the most interesting spaces in New York, members can expect an unrivaled workout experience that is as much about changing your body as it is about feeling the energy of this unique space."

Formerly of Crunch Fitness International and New York Health and Racquet Club, Brodsky has an extensive background in the fitness industry and a proven track record of brand-building and business expansion. Within one year of joining the business, he has successfully opened an additional New York outpost of David Barton Gym at Christopher Street in the historic Archive building, confirmed the relocation of David Barton Gym's Chelsea home to Limelight and plans to continue to build the business both nationally and internationally.

David Barton Gym has locations in New York, Chicago, Miami, Seattle, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Each location is designed to reflect its neighborhood, drawing upon unique elements of history and culture to embody the spirit of the community. With every groundbreaking gym designed by the prestigious Studio Sofield, the design team will continue to convert the way people view their work out experience. "Unlike the more theatrical Chelsea, Astor Place and Miami gyms, Limelight promises to be aligned more with the restrained elegance of Seattle and uptown, sophisticated with a wink to the eponymous nightclub of the nineteen eighties," reflects designer Bill Sofield.

The current Chelsea gym on 23rd Street will begin its relocation and facility upgrade in the beginning of 2014. Pre-sales for Limelight kick off on February 1, 2014 and will offer limited-time special rates. David Barton Gym Chelsea members will receive upgraded Travel Memberships in the interim while they anticipate the opening of the Limelight location, as well as membership fee advantages and perks, making for a seamless transition into their new fitness home.

David Barton Gym Limelight is located at 656 Avenue of the Americas. For further information, contact (212) 414-2022 or visit www.davidbartongym.com.
