New York, NY – Technogym, a leading company supplying products, services and solutions in wellness and fitness, has partnered with Indoor Treadmill Studio TheRUN. Located at 24 West 25th Street, TheRUN is a revolutionary indoor running concept accessible for all fitness levels and running goals.

The studio features 20 state-of-the-art commercial grade Technogym Excite treadmills. As one of the safest and most effective training treadmills on the fitness market, the belt of the treadmill cushions users feet, alleviating stress and pain in the joints as well as knee and foot muscles, even at speeds of over 16 mph.  TheRUN co-founder John Henwood, an Olympian track runner and world-renowned athlete, worked with Technogym to customize and program the studio’s treadmills utilizing his own special algorithm.  Through Technogym’s Mywellness open platform technology, which collects and aggregates fitness data from clients’ workouts, TheRUN workouts can be personalized and automated to each client’s individual pace and ability.

On their first visit, clients will set up a profile with their baseline running pace. If not known, this pace will be determined by the instructor. Depending on the class and the client’s running fitness level and goals, the Technogym treadmill will be pre-set – no need to press buttons to change speed and gradient. The client will also be able to log-in to their account through www.the-run.com and view their run history.

“We have dedicated many years of research and development into our Mywellness open platform technology to make it as accessible as possible to new fitness studio concepts,” said Nerio Alessandri, President and Founder of Technogym.  “We are proud to work with partners like John Henwood of TheRUN who can take advantage of the wealth of customization and data that our platform can deliver, and understand how it can serve as the foundation for fitness classes and client engagement.”

TheRUN classes will include 45 minute classes including TheRUN Stroll to Stride 5km, TheRun Shaper, TheRun Endurance, and TheRUN Velocity. TheRUN Long is two hours and is perfect for those working on endurance and long distance runs.  For more information, please visit www.therun.com
