WASHINGTON, DC — The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor-HHS-Education agreed with President Bush's request to cut funding for the Carol M. White Physical Education Program (PEP) to $26.4 million for next year, a 65 percent drop from this year's $72.6 million.

The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance is leading a campaign against the cut.
