The nearly 70,000-square-foot, multi-level club will open in the new Manhattan luxury rental building, Sky, in partnership with The Moinian Group, a New York-based national real estate company that develops, owns and operates residential, office and hotel properties.
The facility will have two zero-edge outdoor pools, a 60-foot indoor pool and a water club with Turkish-style hammam; studios dedicated to group fitness, yoga and cycling; fitness and cardio equipment; a professional-size indoor basketball court featuring Ultimate Hoops basketball leagues; LifeCafe featuring a full menu of food free of artificial additives and LifeSpa offering skin care and nail services.
Life Time Athletic at Sky also will offer personalized programs and services such as metabolic assessments, lab testing, nutrition coaching and customized workouts—all backed by Life Time's Core 3 Know it. Nourish it. Move It Method.
Life Time operates 119 centers in 26 states and 35 major markets in the United States and Canada. It does have other locations in New York, but this is the first location in New York City. Life Time recently announced it would open its first club in Wisconsin, and it expanded its presence in Philadelphia late last year with the opening of a new club there.
The Moinian Group has a portfolio in excess of 20 million square feet across major cities including New York, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles. The firm focuses on the growth of emerging areas of New York City such as downtown and the West Side of Manhattan where it is developing more than 4 million square feet.
