McKeown said he spent 15 years "obsessed" trying to figure out what holds capable and driven people from breaking through to the next level. The answer, which he found in Silicon Valley, is success.

Randi Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media (and yes, sister of Mark Zuckerberg), shared how everyone today is an entrepreneur, so business operators need to tap into that entrepreneurship to keep employees and survive. She noted that to release the creativity of their teams, health club operators could implement some of the same creative processes that Facebook does. One of those ideas is a monthly hack-a-thon in which employees could work on anything except something related their job.
Matrix showcased several new products at the show, including the S-Drive Performance Trainer, the Rower, its Personal Trainer Portal and an updated 7xi console and software.
Core Health & Fitness redesigned its Nautilus Inspiration Strength line with new aesthetics and uniform tower heights. Each machine also has increased functionality that allows for bilateral and unilateral movements. The line also has an intuitive Lock N Load weight selection system and wrap-around assisted seat adjustment.
Technogym held an invitation-only reveal of its new SkillMill, a non-motorized performance-training product that enhances power, speed, stamina and agility training. Users can speed up the machine by moving to the front of the curved surface and slow it by moving to the back. A gearshift enables users to select different levels of reactive resistance, from zero to max.
A demonstration is performed at the Aktiv Solutions booth on the trade show floor. The company is the U.S. design and distribution partner for GYM RAX, Fitgraphix and LYFT Fitness products. Aktiv Solutions and TRX unveiled the TRX Training Zone at IHRSA.
