Steven Barnhart, the senior vice president and CFO of Bally Total Fitness, Chicago, has resigned, the company confirmed.

A company spokesperson told Club Industry that Barnhart resigned for personal reasons and that Bally wishes him “the best of luck in the future.”

Bally hired Barnhart in January 2010. Previously, Barnhart was president and CEO of online travel company Orbitz Worldwide. He also served in executive roles at PepsiCo, including director of finance.

Steve Tucker, vice president of financial planning and analysis for Bally, has taken over the duties of the CFO.

Barnhart is one of two CFOs to recently leave the industry. As Club Industry reported Monday, Planet Fitness confirmed that CFO Jayne Conway is no longer with the Newington, NH-based company.
