UFC Gym has promoted Adam Sedlack from senior vice president to president, the company announced. The promotion will go into effect Jan. 1.

Sedlack joined UFC Gym in 2008 after holding various sales and managerial roles over 14 years at 24 Hour Fitness, San Ramon, CA. Sedlack won multiple awards at 24 Hour Fitness, including club, region, and district awards. He also was recognized as the top salesperson in the entire company.

UFC Gym is co-owned by New Evolution Ventures (NeV), Lafayette, CA, and Ultimate Fighting Championship. Sedlack received a memo last week signed by NeV CEO Jim Rowley, NeV Chairman Mark Mastrov, UFC Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta and UFC President Dana White.

"You have continually demonstrated a positive attitude and tireless work ethic, a resilient determination, good character and judgment while stewarding the UFC Gym brand," the NeV and UFC leaders wrote in the memo obtained by Club Industry. "As you have been given a position where your responsibilities have increased, we are confident of your abilities to shoulder them. Congratulations and may you have continued success."

UFC Gym was No. 42 on Club Industry's Top 100 Clubs list this year with a reported $21 million in 2012 revenue. UFC Gym also is No. 319 on the recently released Franchise 500 list by Entrepreneur magazine.

In January, UFC Gym announced its acquisition of LA Boxing, Santa Ana, CA. In September, the offices for UFC Gym Corporate, UFC Gym Franchise and UFC FIT consolidated into a new space in Santa Ana. Sedlack was honored with the promotion last week in a surprise ceremony at the corporate offices.
