New York Health & Racquet Club (NYHRC), which has committed to improving the health and well-being of its members for years, took that commitment one step further when it served as an official sponsor of the inaugural Ironman United States Championship last Saturday in New York City.

The health club sponsorship was apparent during the race with the availability of an aid station, participant support throughout the race and an offering of one-year memberships to the top performers of the competition.

“It is particularly meaningful for us to support an event that—like NYHRC—inspires New Yorkers to be fit and live healthier lives,” says Kim Manocherian, owner of New York Health & Racquet Club. “Sponsoring the event is a great way for us to support both international and local athletes.”

New York Health & Racquet Club awarded eight participants with one-year memberships, six to the top amateur participants and two to the top male and female professional participants, Jordan Rapp and Mary Beth Ellis.
