WACO, TX -- This month, Curves International Inc. teamed with Rodale, a source for content in health and wellness, to launch www.CurvesComplete.com. The online weight loss subscription service site is based on the book Curves: Permanent Results Without Permanent Dieting, written by Curves Founder and Chief Executive Officer Gary Heavin. The service is available in the United States and Canada and allows subscribers to look at fitness information, tools, expert opinions and motivational advice to lose weight and keep their fitness goals in mind.
Curves partnered with Baylor University’s Exercise and Sport Nutrition Laboratory, which conducted studies designed to create a diet specifically tailored for women that is effective and easy to follow. The site includes information from these studies and Heavin’s book.
"The CurvesComplete.com Web site offers a simple indicator that notifies members whether they have made a smart or poor food choice as they plan their menus. That way, members can learn to regularly make smart choices,” says Rodale Senior Vice President and General Manager David Kang.
The program offers meal plans, shopping lists, healthy recipes and a database of more than 30,000 foods with complete nutritional information. Subscribers have ongoing access to Curves’ network of nutritionists and fitness experts, who are available to answer questions and provide motivation. In addition to answering questions, the experts will be a presence on the message boards to help build an even stronger and more supportive community.
A subscription costs $5 a week and is discounted for members. Non-members are able to utilize a discount coupon to join as well.
