- Donna Meyer, Suzanne Nottingham and the Women's Sports Foundation, for receiving awards from IDEA. Meyer, corporate director of group exercise of 24 Hour Fitness, was given the 2000 IDEA Program Director of the Year Award. Nottingham received the 2000 IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year Award. And the Women's Sports Foundation, a charitable organization founded by Billie Jean King in 1974, was presented with the IDEA Leadership Award.

- The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa Aquatics Department, for winning national recognition from the United States Water Fitness Association. The department was named the following: No. 1 Aquatics Program in Texas; No. 1 Country Club Aquatics Program in the U.S.; and the No. 3 Aquatics Program in the U.S. overall.
