Equinox has appointed Chief Financial Officer Steven Rosen as chief operating officer, replacing Christopher Peluso, who left the company. Chief Executive Officer Harvey Spevak will serve as acting chief operating officer until a new chief financial officer is appointed and Rosen can assume the COO role.
The National Swimming Pool Foundation appointed Alex Antoniou, Ph.D., as director of educational programs. Starting August 16, 2005, Dr. Antoniou will coordinate and expand current education and certification programs, oversee the introduction of the new Certified Pool and Spa Operator® manual (which launches this fall) and administer all new educational programs designed for public health officials, service technicians and builders.
Life Fitness, manufacturer of a full line of cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, promoted Tim Moran to manager, military and government sales. Based in Lindenhurst, IL, Moran is responsible for the company's worldwide military and government sales and reports directly to Pat O'Dell, director, military and government sales.
With Matrix Fitness Systems' relocation from Albuquerque, NM, to Lake Mills, WI, this month, there were some personnel changes at the company. Ken Lucas, former president of Matrix, has opted to not make the move but will consult for the company through March 2005. Kent Stevens, vice president of sales, will assume Lucas' sales duties, and Derek Nelson was appointed new director of product. The company relocated to be nearer its parent company, Johnson Health Tech Ltd, R&D center located in Madison, WI.
