CALABASAS, CA — National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) launched a new, computerized testing program with the help of LaserGrade, a national test administration company. The new testing program is part of preparation for an accreditation process that the organization hopes to take on in the next year.
LaserGrade started to administer the computer-based exams for NASM at their test centers as of June. The new computerized tests will allow for precise scoring and prevent any inaccuracies or test security problems that paper and pencil may have caused in the past. Neutral proctors provided by LaserGrade will further ensure the security of the test, according to NASM. Exam candidates will also find out if they passed or failed at the end of the test as scores and results will be received immediately.
