BROOKLYN PARK, MN — Dennis Lee and Tim Porth, the founders of Octane Fitness, won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 Award in the consumer products category in the Minnesota and Dakotas region.

The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who build and lead dynamic, growing businesses. An independent panel of judges selects winners in several categories. As region award winners, Lee and Porth will be considered for an Ernst & Young national award. Winners will be announced at an annual awards gala Nov. 17 in Palm Springs, CA.

The manufacturer was also named best supplier in the fitness industry and top-selling brand of elliptical cross trainers by specialty retailers in the fifth annual Specialty News® 2007 Fitness Retailer Survey.
