Chicago — More than 1,000 people kicked off their summers by joining free open-air Les Mills group exercise classes at Chicago's Millennium Park. The classes, presented by Les Mills Midwest, started in June and will continue through the summer.

This is the second year that Les Mills has participated in Chicago's summer fitness program at Millennium Park.

Attendance averaged more than 250 people and topped 300 on two Saturdays.

The Les Mills classes are part of an open-air fitness program sponsored by McDonald's, the Lakeshore Athletic Club and the Mayor's Fitness Council in Chicago.
