The standard offerings of today’s commercial gyms continues to be challenged by small box gyms and the continuing trend toward functional training. A pioneering brand in functional training equipment, Marpo Kinetics has made it’s mark by changing the landscape of workout offerings with their flagship rope training equipment. Garnering praise from the fitness industry for their innovation and a devout following from gym members for their intense and dynamic workouts, Marpo’s latest creation takes on group workouts and integrative training.
Making its public debut at the IHRSA conference in San Diego this March, the VMX Three60 is Marpo’s first multi-user functional training system. To complement the VMX Three60, Marpo has also developed the Three60 Training Series. A collaboration of experienced master trainers, the Three60 Training series offers a comprehensive training protocol to be used with VMX Three60.
Using sets of three 60-second work periods as the building blocks of workouts and programs, the Three60 series combines functional movements with varied speeds and workloads to emphasize endurance, strength, power or a combination of all three.
Select gyms have piloted the VMX Three60 and held Three60 Training classes with great success. “The Three60 Rope Training series has improved the efficiency in which we are able to run groups of 4-6 clients through training. Setting up stations with the exercises taught in the program have proved invaluable for intensity and excitement", says Tim Rich, Fitness Manager at Crunch in Blackhawk, CA.
Having outfitted gyms, military bases and rehabilitation centers with their industry-lauded rope machines since their introduction in 2006, the training series is a first for Marpo Kinetics. “We wanted to ensure that the message of versatility and functionality was fully realized. These machines are unique in that, once people try it they’re hooked and are excited for more, but to see the full range of exercises that you can accomplish a training model needed to be created”, says Mike Cole, Marpo’s Director of Education.
Marpo representatives are excited to present their latest innovation at the IHRSA show and will be performing demos and workshops throughout the day. To learn more or register at a workshop, visit http://www.eventbrite.com/o/mike-cole-3241732386?s=21834507.
