IRVING, TX -- Gold’s Gym has named Tim Hicks as its new vice president of franchise sales. In his new role, Hicks will be responsible for awarding Gold’s Gym franchise opportunities to a targeted pool of potential candidates.
“Tim is a sharp business strategist with extensive professional expertise who will be a tremendous asset to the Gold’s Gym team,” Jim Snow, president of Gold’s Gym International, said in a statement. “His hiring will help us expand and reach investors of all sizes who are looking to align with the most recognized name in fitness. We look forward to utilizing Tim’s skills to achieve our growth goals.”
Hicks, most recently the senior vice president of worldwide sales and new business development for Mystic Tan, will be responsible for developing and executing a growth plan in the United States. This includes facilitating a pipeline of franchising opportunities and managing Gold’s Gym’s process for lead generation and franchise sales.

Hicks also has held senior executive positions at several other franchising companies. He was the chief operating officer of Capital Entertainment Group, a franchisor with more than 50 locations, and vice president of franchising for Blockbuster Entertainment.
Hicks holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Missouri State University.
