SCOTRUN, PA — Blue Ridge Cable TV-13's George Roberts embarked on a 12-week exercise program at Elevations Health Club in Scotrun, PA, to find out if exercise and a proper diet would help him lose weight and body fat and increase his muscular endurance.

Upon completion of the program, the television anchorman had lost 10 pounds, reduced his blood pressure and resting heart rate, decreased his body fat percentage by 3.4 percent and lowered his cholesterol level from unsafe to normal.

After encouraging Roberts to visit with his doctor, the club started him with a fitness evaluation and gave him a free consultation with a staff nutritionist.

“He took advantage of everything we had to offer, including our classes and the expertise of our trainers,” said Rob Bishop, co-owner of Elevations Health Club. “He came in three mornings per week for all 12 weeks, and his results show the impact of that dedication.”

Roberts said he tried to educate his viewers about how an exercise program and proper diet could yield sustainable results.
