Undeniably, social media has changed how businesses interact with customers. What was once communicated by a phone call or flyer is now tweeted to hundreds of followers in a few seconds and shared with Facebook friends with the click of a button. Many health clubs have embraced sites such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Foursquare because of how easy they make sharing news and offers with members.
Has your health club used social media to promote programs, retain members or grow revenue? If so, show us what you have been doing and submit an application to the Social Media Best Practices contest by Aug. 1. The four winners will get seats on a panel session this October at the Club Industry show in Chicago. The session is titled “Social Media Best Practices: The Experts Share How Social Media Has Increased Program Participation, Revenue and Retention.” The four winners will be featured in Club Industry magazine as well as on our website and also will receive a full-access pass to attend the conference sessions, networking opportunities, keynote addresses and the exhibit hall.
