The writer of this recent New York Times column contacted Club Industry a couple of weeks ago to get some scoop, or background, about Bally.
Unlike this Times item, we are not quoted in the latest column, which focuses on a Bally member's frustration to cancel her membership. I forwarded the reporter to Pam, who left him a message and gave him a contact. We never heard back. Bally spokesperson Pete Marino—not the contact we gave him—is in the column, which leads us to believe the reporter got what he needed from him.
Our blog's name is "Behind the Scenes," after all. We're just trying to live up to our name.
