The four local gyms, located in Overland Park, Raytown, Blue Springs and Independence will each donate 100 turkeys to be distributed by the Salvation Army before Christmas. Tiernie Darr, regional manager for Planet Fitness commented, “Planet Fitness strongly believes in community outreach, especially this time of year when so many families are struggling to make ends meet."

Planet Fitness is known for its “Judgement Free Zone” designed to make all levels of fitness users comfortable. With over 700 locations, Planet Fitness is the fastest growing fitness chain in the nation. “At $10.00 a month it is an unbeatable value for the community.”

About Planet Fitness

In the United States 3.5 million Planet Fitness members have embraced the company’s Judgment Free Zone® philosophy at over 700 locations. Planet Fitness customers enjoy the stylish, clean facilities equipped with name brand cardio and strength equipment. Enforcement of the “Judgment Free Zone” prohibits grunting and dropping weights – so all clients, both occasional and first-time gym users can feel comfortable working out. This philosophy transcends everything at Planet Fitness, including details such as the “Lunk Alarm” an actual beacon light and siren intended to deter members from the hard-core look-at-me behavior found in too many gyms today.
