The YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will sell a majority of its centers. The bankruptcy petition was filed Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, according to a press release from the Y. Earlier this spring, reports surfaced that the Milwaukee Y was about to undergo a restructuring as it faced a $30 million debt.
