FAIRLESS HILLS, PA -- The Lower Bucks County YMCA, Fairless Hills, PA, celebrated the grand opening Monday of its new Verizon Interactive Zone, an active gaming center designed to attract teens and children to the Y.
The Verizon Foundation donated $10,000 toward the creation of the $12,000 interaction zone. In addition to Wii and Sony Playstation gaming systems, the center features Xboard skateboarding games and cardio bikes outfitted with gaming software.
The interactive zone also features a pool table, a foosball table, table tennis and several computers for members to use free of charge that are equipped with Thinkfinity.org, an educational Web site created by the Verizon Foundation.
