Curves Launches Travel Company and Program

WACO, TX — Curves is stepping outside the fitness market. In early December, Curves International Inc. launched a new travel company and is offering free trip planning and booking services to members and their families and friends. The company unveiled the new program to franchisees at its 10th annual convention in November.

“It's a proven fact that women make 70 percent of all travel buying decisions. We're now making it easier and more exciting for Curves members to book their travel,” said Curves Travel President Anne Marie Moebes.

Curves franchisees will be able to earn referral fees from Curves Travel for vacations booked and traveled by their members. On average, Curves members take 2.2 vacations a year, 55 percent are interested in vacation packages and 45 percent are interested in cruises. The new travel company is run by a group of franchise owners who also own a travel agency.

“Since 85 percent of all cruises and vacation packages are booked by travel agents, Curves Travel concluded that Curves members on average want the professional services of a travel company,” said Becky Frusher, spokesperson for Curves International. “There are more than 3.2 million Curves members in the United States who could potentially take advantage of this program.”

With free access to www.curvestravel.com, members can book vacation packages, cruises, hotels and rental cars online or participate in group travel.
