* Jamie Leigh Grace-Alvarado, the receptionist at 30-Minute Fitness in Great Neck, N.Y. Last month, she represented the health club in the 22nd Great Neck United Community Fund 5-Mile Run.
* The Peninsula Athletic Club (San Diego) for being honored at the 1999 Arthur Andersen Best Practices Awards banquet as one of five semi-finalists in the category of "Exceeding Customer Expectations." The club was one of just 20 local companies recognized among more than 120 businesses nominated for the award.
