Health and fitness professionals in the spotlight

  • Ajay Pant is the new general manager of the Meadow Club in Rolling Meadows, Ill., while Jeff Neuman has been named head tennis professional at the facility. Tennis Corp. of America (TCA) acquired the club on March 1. Pant is formerly of TCA's Forest Grove Athletic Club, while Neuman is formerly of TCA's Willowbrook Athletic Club.

  • Paramount Fitness Corp. has appointed Rob Wilson as its new southeast regional sales manager.

  • Thomas Ordemann is the new vice president of operations for Lifestyle Family Fitness LLC, reportedly the largest chain of co-ed fitness facilities in Florida.

  • Omni Fitness has named veteran retail executive Rick Griner its new president. Effective since April, Griner oversees all day-to-day operations of Omni's commercial business and 60 retail stores.

  • The Redstone Cos. has promoted Greg Nielson to general manager of The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa. He had served as assistant general manager for the last six years for the Texas-based club. In addition to Nielson's promotion, Redstone moved Herb Lipsman from his seven-year position as general manager to vice president of development.

  • Ed Williams is the new president and CEO of Denver-based Wellbridge, the nation's fourth largest athletic club company. Williams' most recent role with Wellbridge had been senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions.
