GAINESVILLE, FL — A new club in Tioga, FL, increases the Gainesville (FL) Health & Fitness Center club numbers to three. Joe Cirulli, owner of Gainesville Health & Fitness Center, opened the 25,000-square-foot, two-level, interior fit-out as a co-ed fitness center that combines traditional physical fitness programs with a medical spa.

The facility features multiple group fitness classes, cardiovascular areas, child care, weight training, locker rooms, and lounge and support spaces for administrative functions.

The design of the new facility compliments the original club but maintains a distinct look, says Rudy Fabiano, design director at Fabiano Designs and architect of the club. The design strategy was to develop an overall concept for the chain rather than copy each club design and repeat it, says Fabiano.

“We find that members respond better when the club has its own distinct look,” Fabiano says. “The original club is sportier and has a broader range of demographics. The Tioga Center has a modern and more feminine feel, which compliments the original club.”
