EVERETT, WA — The YMCA of Snohomish County in Washington kicked off its annual Invest in Youth Helping Kids Grow campaign in mid-February with a 2007 campaign goal of $812,000 to support six branches. If the goal is reached, about 2,000 low-income children and adults will be able to participate in Y programs.

Raised funds will be distributed according to each Y's needs, says Colleen Temple, director of marketing and communications for the Y. The campaign will run through mid-March.
