* Susan Selckman was named assistant general manager of the 106,000-square-foot Bel Air Athletic Club (Bel Air, Md.). She will concentrate on programming elements for all internal departments, as well as divide the club's general management responsibilities with current general manager David Bradshaw.
The club also promoted Scott Simmons to the position of aquatic director. He started as a lifeguard at the club in 1995. Since then he has served in various capacities. Meanwhile, Mark Bonitatibus was named assistant aquatic director.
* Janet Long was promoted to vice president of sales and training for Chicago-based Lakeshore Management Group. She previously served as director of sales and training. She is responsible for sales and training at all of Lakeshore Management Group's properties.
* Brett Gargano was recently promoted to the position of controller at Tennis Corporation of America (TCA, Chicago). Gargano oversees all of TCA's daily club accounting work, as well as month-end financial statement preparation. He previously served as accounting manager.
