The annual event will also feature 85 seminars and workshops including those on facility design and construction; aquatic programming and management; programming and marketing; military fitness and sports; new managers and supervisors; facility management and operations; leadership, people management and personal development; financial and risk management; youth sports administration; and commercial indoor sports facilities.
Preconference workshops will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 30. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the fourth annual Athletic Business Golf Classic at Shingle Creek Golf Club or take tours of the city of Oviedo's recreation facilities and the RDV Sportsplex.
The show floor will open Thursday, Dec. 1, and will feature more than 300 exhibitors, early-morning workouts, demonstrations and contests. And, for the second year, the Medical Fitness Association (MFA) will hold its conference, “Meeting the Future Actively: Partnerships for Life,” in conjunction with the AB trade show. The International Council on Active Aging's (ICAA) conference “Active Aging 2005: The Tipping Point,” will also be held in conjunction with the show and will offer seminars on sales and marketing, management and leadership, programming, and activity workshops. With AB registration, ICAA seminars are free and MFA seminars are $35 each.
