STAMFORD, CT — Dot Richardson, two-time Olympic softball gold medal winner and orthopedic surgeon, will be the keynote speaker at the Club Industry East show, organizers of the event announced. Richardson will speak on June 7 at the show, which takes place June 6-9 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando.
Richardson had a passion for softball during a time when women's sports were limited, breaking barriers placed for women.
“Richardson's example is inspiring for a lot of women, but she also can speak to people who face other barriers and the fact that no one should let those barriers stop them from doing what they want to do, whether that's in business or in their personal lives,” says Zari Stahl, Club Industry East show director.
