Best of The Best

Don't miss out on the opportunity to hear what some of the club operators who took first place in the Best of the Best competition have to say about their programs and how they put them together. Winners who can attend will accept their awards and offer short presentations about their winning programs at the Club Industry show in Chicago at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, at the McCormick Place Convention Center. Any winners who cannot attend will send a presentation that will be shown on their behalf.

The categories in the competition are Best Children's Program, Best New Member Integration Program, Best Nonmember/Community Program and Best Behavior Modification Program.

As we seem to keep reminding you, Club Industry's Fitness Business Pro isn't just a magazine anymore. We're also a Web site, e-newsletters, a blog, conference information and, our newest feature, podcasts.

For Your Listening Pleasure

We're excited to feature on our Web site two podcasts for your listening pleasure and edification. The first one is an interview with Geoff Dyer, CEO of Lifestyle Family Fitness in St. Petersburg, FL. The second is an interview with Carl Liebert, CEO of 24 Hour Fitness, San Ramon, CA. A shortened version of the transcript of that interview is featured in this month's Executive Insights column (see page 38, then jump to page 78 for the last part of the interview).

To listen to the interviews, go to www.fitnessbusinesspro.com/podcasts and click on the podcast you'd like to hear. Enjoy!
