LA Fitness is pleased to announce the openings of the first two LA Fitness health clubs in the greater Oklahoma City area. Our Moore location is now open, and another location in Edmond will open later this year. The new clubs combined will generate approximately 100 new full-time and part-time jobs in the Oklahoma City area.

The Oklahoma area clubs are state-of-the-art facilities that feature a wide range of amenities to meet the needs of people of all ages, interests and fitness goals. Both locations have the following amenities, most of which are included in the monthly membership fee:

Cardio areas designed for comfort and equipped with state-of-the-art machines

Aerobics studios with group fitness classes such as Kickbox Cardio, Zumba ®, indoor cycling and yoga

Free weights

Three-lane indoor swimming pools

Spacious locker rooms with saunas

Personal training (for an additional charge)

Kids Klub babysitting (for an additional charge)

The Edmond club will also feature an indoor basketball court.

The 34,000 square foot Moore club, located at 647 SW 19th  Street, officially opened for workouts on Sept. 5, 2013.

Construction of the Edmond club, located at 2121 W. Danforth Road, began in June and the club is slated to open at the end of this year. In advance of the club opening, LA Fitness staff will be available for membership sales at 2011 W. Danforth Rd. Edmond, OK 73003 or by calling (405) 216-4825.

"Any doubts about entering the Oklahoma market were immediately erased when we saw the tremendous support the community put forth, as well as the resilience and resolve of those who have been affected by the tornado earlier this year," said Bill Horner, Chief Real Estate Officer of Fitness International, LLC.   "With our opening in Moore, we are pleased to be an early part of the rebuilding process in the area, and overall we look forward to LA Fitness health clubs being part of the future of the Oklahoma City area."

LA Fitness strives to uphold a high standard of quality with the goal of helping to promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of each and every community that it is a part of.
