Irvine, CA — Mark de Gorter was appointed president and chief marketing officer (CMO) of Power Plate North America, Irvine, CA.
“I believe this product is a best-kept secret in the industry,” says de Gorter. “I'll be wearing a couple of different hats in this role. I saw opportunities to leverage my marketing background in the U.S., and I'm also the global CMO. So as we shape the brand going forward, it allows us to communicate Power Plate as a global brand.”
He says the company has “quite a bit in the development pipeline” and plans to roll out new developments at the Club Industry show next month in Chicago.
De Gorter most recently had been COO for Velocity Sports Performance. He also has worked for J. Walter Thompson/USA on the Health & Tennis Corporation of America advertising account and helped lead its transition to the company currently known as Bally Total Fitness, which he later joined to manage its advertising and marketing.
