IRVINE, CA -- Star Trac announced that Steve Nero has resigned as the company’s president and chief operating officer.
Nero will be replaced in those roles by Mike Leveque, Star Trac said in a brief press release on Thursday. The Irvine, CA-based company offered no explanation for Nero’s resignation. Nero had been with Star Trac for six years.
“Steve has made a significant contribution to Star Trac’s growth and expansion over the last six years, and we wish him continued success in his future endeavors,” Star Trac Chairman and CEO Jim Doody said in a statement.
Leveque had been Star Trac’s managing director for Europe and Africa and was based out of Star Trac’s London-area headquarters. A Star Trac employee for 17 years, Leveque had been operating Star Trac’s fastest-growing division, according to the company. He also has held positions in sales and finance.
“Mike has a long history of success at Star Trac, and I look forward to working closely with him during this transition,” Doody said.
