Power Plate International introduced the new pro6. It is the first-ever combination of Power Plate exercise with upper body cable-resistance training and is designed to give users a total body workout in half an hour. The Power Plate pro6 features a new fitness system called proMOTION, which uses high-strength Vectran cables to transfer vibration to the upper body at high-speed frequency rates between 20 and 40 times per second, which expands the benefits of acceleration training. Extending to more than six feet, proMOTION's Vectran cables connect to ergonomically designed handles to facilitate a smooth, complete range of motion. They allow for a full range of dynamic exercises, both on and off the vibrating platform and at any speed, in any direction.

STRENGTH EQUIPMENT

Life Fitness added six pieces of equipment to its Signature Series strength-training line. The Signature Series Plate-Loaded line includes benches and racks, cable motion, single stations and plate-loaded designs. The plate-loaded line was optimized to fit 98 percent of people and is ergonomically designed. The equipment features pictorial placards for ease of use and commercial-grade, flat oval and D-shape tubing consistent with the existing Signature Series family of products. The equipment is available in nine frame colors and can be customized, including a two-tone accent. Upholstery for the machines' contoured pads comes in 30 colors.
