VANCOUVER, WA -- Nautilus Inc. has voluntarily recalled its Nautilus F3 Chin Dip stationary exercise units because the footpads on the unit can break. Although no injuries have been reported from use of the equipment, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said that it could cause users to fall.
Approximately 400 units were sold to fitness facilities in the United States from May 2007 through February 2009. The units in question have the model number (F3CD) stamped on the frame of the product.
Nautilus has sent free redesigned support plates for the footpads to club owners with the equipment. However, fitness facility owners who have not received the new support plates should immediately stop using the equipment, according to the CPSC, and call Nautilus at 800-935-7313 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Pacific time), Monday through Friday, to request the replacements.
