The parent company of Matrix Fitness, Cottage Grove, WI, had a 23 percent increase in sales in North America and a 26 percent increase worldwide for 2011 compared to 2010, the company announced.
Johnson Health Tech (JHT) is the parent company for Matrix Fitness, Vision Fitness, AFG, Horizon Fitness and Livestrong Fitness equipment. JHT does not release actual revenue figures, as it is not a public company.
Global commercial sales, led by the Matrix Fitness brand, increased by 37 percent in 2011 over 2010. International commercial sales (defined as sales outside of North America) reported a 47 percent increase over the prior year.
“We’re pleased with the outstanding growth JHT experienced globally and domestically in 2011,” Nathan Pyles, president of Johnson Health Tech North America (JHTNA), a subsidiary of JHT, said in a release. “Each quarter yielded increased sales across all channels, including commercial, specialty and sporting goods markets. Our ongoing investment in quality product offerings, world class customer service and creating a best-in-class workplace has afforded us extraordinary gains in market leadership.”
Mark Zabel, vice president of global marketing at JHT, said: “Increased market adoption to our overall product portfolio and our continued emphasis on product innovation and strategic partnerships produced significant results in 2011. A well-received launch of multiple cardiovascular products, including the new Matrix Fitness ClimbMill and the introduction of VirtualActive on a selection of our retail products were contributors to this year’s success.”
