AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND -- Les Mills International (LMI) has purchased Les Mills South East (LMSE), the southeastern distributor of LMI, from Lifestyle Family Fitness.

LMI will retain the existing LMSE staff and plans to continue its regionalized service to LMSE’s existing customers. The company will continue to do business as Les Mills South East.

Lifestyle Family Fitness has operated LMSE for the past four years. During that time, the St. Petersburg, FL-based club company grew the number of Les Mills licensees by more than 65 percent and serviced more than 280 facilities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

“We are proud of the growth and level of support we have achieved over the last four years,” Lifestyle Family Fitness Founder Geoff Dyer says. “We look forward to seeing our team contribute to the future success and growth of LMI nationwide.”

Lifestyle Family Fitness officially ceased involvement in the LMSE agency business on Oct. 1. It will continue to offer Les Mills programs in its clubs.

“The Southeast territory is hugely important to us and offers Les Mills significant potential for further U.S. growth,” LMI CEO Phillip Mills said in a statement.
