Cybex International Inc., Medway, MA, released a new treadmill, the 770T, last week at the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association show in San Francisco. Patrick House, the season 10 winner of “The Biggest Loser,” was on hand at the official launch of the product. House is Cybex’s fitness ambassador.

“This is not your run-of-the-mill treadmill,” says Cybex CEO John Aglialoro. “This is a breakthrough treadmill designed to help serious and casual fitness athletes alike to rediscover the simple joys of running, jogging and walking. The 770T is designed and engineered to reflect the natural movement of the human body.”

The treadmill’s IS3 intelligent suspension system ensures a precise match of the body mechanics of running to make sure there are minimal stresses on the body. The 770T’s deck is soft at landing, firm in the middle, and rigid at toe-off to precisely match the body mechanics of running.

For those needing additional support, the treadmill features ARMZ, ergonomically designed stability bars that reach out beyond conventional support bars.

Beyond the mechanics of the treadmill, the 770T features CardioTouch display, which provides a single command center for every exercise program and entertainment control, including iPods and iPhones. Users can personalize their exercise experience while charging their devices and searching through playlists, albums, artists and podcasts.

“We have also gone to great lengths to make this an incredibly smart and efficient treadmill for club owners,” says Larry Gulko, senior vice president of business development for Cybex. “The 770T features a cooling belt for the treadmill deck enabling the belt to stay cool and last longer, and a double-sided, self-service deck to allow for easier maintenance.”

This is the first new product the company has released since a $66 million product liability suit went against the company in December.
