Biometric System

FSS Inc. has a biometric system to replace carrying an ID card when members swim, work out or jog. Biometric fingerprint ID technology can simplify the membership verification process and help members enter a club without the hassle of carrying, locating or displaying a membership card. It also cuts the costs involved in manufacturing new cards and replacing lost cards, as well as eliminates the fraudulent use of cards by nonmembers. Club members enroll by placing a finger on the reader. The reading then is converted into a number, so the fingerprint is never stored. Enrollment typically is done at member sign-up.

White LED edge-lit Caliber Signage from Chloride offers computer-generated custom graphics and wording designed to fit any architectural space. Long-lasting LEDs make the Caliber Signage more visible than traditional signage while maintaining low power consumption. Available in several finishes, the housing is constructed of die cast aluminum while the panel is manufactured from acrylic with silk-screened computer-generated artwork. The Caliber Signage is listed to UL 48 standards.

Sani-System Bracket

The Sani-Bracket 3-in-1 Wall and Mobile Equipment Attachment System adjusts to fit all three PDI canister sizes for Sani-Cloth and Sani-Hands products. Label brackets for Sani-Cloth read “Not for Use on Skin,” while a label for Sani-Hands reads “Use for Hand Sanitizing.” The system is designed to reduce counter clutter and deter theft. The new bracket uses the same footprint as the company's locking bracket. In addition, PDI offers an additional bracket for the Sani-Cloth extra large dispenser box to hold individually wrapped disinfectant packets, and a floor stand with two sizes.

Bamboo Sports Flooring

Fitness Flooring released Zenterra bamboo sports flooring designed specifically for group exercise and yoga. Zenterra uses an adaptation of the spring clip technology that allows every board to move independently and provides ideal shock absorption. Zenterra is made of prefinished bamboo manufactured with tight tolerances that have been tested to exceed maple or oak in hardness, though the hardness does not affect the boards' ability to flex and absorb impact as a group exercise floor. The construction of Zenterra has been DIN tested.
