Gold's Gym Appoints Chris Murphy as VP, Real Estate and Acquisitions

DALLAS – Gold’s Gym, the world’s leading authority on health and fitness, today announced the appointment of Chris Murphy to Vice President, Real Estate and Acquisitions. In addition to managing the current Gold’s Gym real estate portfolio, Murphy will be tasked with executing the strategic vision for Gold’s Gym through acquisitions of existing health club operators, ground-up development, and new unit growth in existing and new markets.

As an associate with Gold’s Gym’s holding company TRT Holdings, Murphy has been active in mergers & acquisitions, portfolio company asset management, and management of the TRT real estate portfolio since 2011.

“Chris brings with him a wealth of knowledge and previous success in this field. I’m confident that he will be an integral part the continued growth and expansion of the Gold’s Gym brand and we welcome him to the leadership team,” said Jim Snow, president of Gold’s Gym.

Prior to joining TRT Holdings, Murphy held leadership positions with mortgage banking firm HFF in Dallas and Duke Realty in Chicago. Murphy is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he played on the Varsity Men’s Basketball team.
