A woman who works for a Sport & Health club in Gaithersburg, MD, was sexually assaulted and robbed last week when she left the club shortly after midnight.
The club had closed at 11 p.m., and other staff members were still in the club at the time of the attack, The Gazette of Montgomery County, MD, reported.
The manager of the Lakeforest Sport & Health club told the newspaper last week that the woman was OK and recovering at home.
A spokesperson for Sport & Health, McLean, VA, said the company had no comment on the case and referred questions to the Montgomery County Police Department, which said the investigation is active and that the attacker has not been identified or located. Police were checking footage from security cameras outside the club for clues.
