A Planet Fitness employee is free on bail after she allegedly groped and made inappropriate and unwanted advances to a teenage boy.
The alleged incident occurred last week at a Planet Fitness club in Colonie, NY, according to Albany TV station WNYT. A 16-year-old boy and a group of friends entered the club between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. last Wednesday when Sydney Sprung, 39, was working the overnight shift at the front desk, according to the report.
The boy told police that Sprung groped and kissed him and also showed him nude photographs of her genitals, the TV station reported. Sprung was not born a female, according to the report, and police describe Sprung as a transgender individual, classified as a female on her driver’s license. Sprung is charged with forcible touching and child endangerment.
Planet Fitness spokesperson John Craig says local law enforcement is handling the case and that the company is not in a position to comment further.
