EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.-- Life Time Fitness Inc. announced the launch of the Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series in partnership with the Nautica New York City Triathlon, Accenture Chicago Triathlon, Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon and the Life Time Fitness Triathlon, which is held in Minneapolis.
The Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series the will connect four Olympic distance triathlon events in the United States and will offer a total prize purse of more than $1,000,000. Held annually, the Series will commence in New York and end in Minneapolis, as follows.
Also announced, triathlete Craig Alexander will return to defend his title in July at the 2006 Life Time Fitness Triathlon. The 33 year-old Alexander has compiled 34 top three finishes since 2001, including 19 victories. He already has a pair of victories in 2006, taking home the title in Australian Long Course Championship as well as winning the St. Croix Half-Ironman.
