COLLIER TOWNSHIP, PA -- A man who had guns in the trunk of his car was arrested last week at the same LA Fitness where tragedy struck a year ago.
Eric Holtz was taken into custody June 29 and was charged with possession of a firearm and harassment. Holtz violated a protection from abuse (PFA) order filed against him by a woman who was his ex-girlfriend, according to multiple media reports. The woman saw Holtz from the parking lot as she was walking into the LA Fitness and noticed that he was looking back at her.
When police arrested Holtz and put his gym bag in the trunk of his car, they found two guns—one of which was loaded—and multiple fake IDs, according to a report.
Last August, a member of the same LA Fitness club named George Sodini walked into the club and killed three women and injured nine others before turning the gun on himself.
