L.A. Fitness acquired the 22 Australian Body Works (ABW) clubs, located in the Atlanta area. Paul Norris, principal and spokesperson for L.A. Fitness, told Club Industry that L.A. Fitness banners have replaced the ABW kangaroo logos in all of the clubs.
After months of negotiations, Spectrum Clubs International and WellBridge (formerly CSI) have apparently called off the deal in which the former was to acquire the latter. However, some insiders claim that the deal is not completely dead, noting that Spectrum could eventually become WellBridge's owner.
